Wilson Security Racing GRM driver James Moffat has had his best race of the season, finishing fourth in the sixth race of the 2017 Virgin Australia Supercars Championship at the Phillip Island Grand Prix Circuit over the weekend.
The fifth race of the year however was a tougher one for Moffat, with his Holden Commodore suffering a high-speed tyre explosion, relegating the number 34 machine to a 14th place result.

Wilson Security Racing GRM driver James Moffat had a weekend to forget at Tasmania's Symmons Plains Raceway, with a tough pair of races.
The racing portion of the weekend started on the back foot for Moffat, who was caught in the middle of an accident that involved half of the 26 car grid.
Following extensive repairs overnight by the GRM crew, Moffat's comeback drive on Sunday was halted by an early race incident, which saw the car sent to the pits for repairs.
With the Saturday race not counting towards the championship point score, Moffat currently sits in 13th position on the season standings.READ MORE

There were promising signs for Wilson Security Racing GRM driver James Moffat at the Australian Grand Prix support races, with a pair of top-ten results earned on the Albert Park Street Circuit.
The event started strongly with a seventh-place finish in the opening sprint race on Friday, but the strong run came unstuck in the second race, after Moffat unfortunately collected a spun car.
With a rebuilt Holden Commodore for Saturday’s running, Moffat came through to finish ninth, which was backed up by a 12th place result on Sunday, with a stout drive from the rear of the field following a first corner spin.
Moffat’s next outing will be in two weekend’s time at Tasmania’s Symmons Plains Raceway, with the second points paying round of the Virgin Australia Supercars season.
