Deflated Feeling for Moffat at Sandown

Deflated Feeling for Moffat at Sandown

20 Sep 2016

James Moffat's Wilson Security Sandown 500 was a short lived affair, after his co-driver James Golding suffered a first lap flat tyre, which sent the Wilson Security Racing GRM Volvo S60 into the wall at high speed and an early retirement.

Up until the main race, the weekend had been promising for Moffat, who continued to find his groove aboard the Volvo.

Eighth fastest in opening Friday practice was backed up by a strong drive in his qualifying race on Saturday, which saw Moffat improve to fourth at the chequered flag.
