James Moffat had a weekend of mixed fortunes aboard the Team Norton/DJR Falcon at the Australian Grand Prix meeting in Melbourne.
A general lack of pace was consistent throughout the weekend, not helped by being punted out of Fridays second race when well placed. But the weekend finished with James best result, an encouraging end to the non-championship weekend on the Albert Park street circuit
"I'm disappointed of course because I want to run at the sharp end of the field, not the opposite end. And its frustrating because the car is actually quite good to drive, its just not fast. All four (team) cars are the same, so theres more work to be done," James Moffat saidREAD MORE

Team Norton's new 2012 V8 Supercar campaign got off to a tough start at the season opener, the Clipsal 500 in Adelaide
Although widely regarded as the best looking car in the field, the DJR-run Falcon struggled for pace throughout the weekend, and James Moffat was only able to claim a hard won 15th in Saturday's hot conditions.
On Sunday his day ended early, with power steering failure.
"Not the way we wanted to start the season but we'll put this behind us and find the speed we need ... there's a strong base to work on, it's going to be an exciting season for Team Norton," James Moffat said.READ MORE
