Sandown Raceway turned on its best 'Melbourne weather' for the V8 Supercars pre-season testing today, with patches of blinding sun and torrential rain.  

The morning session saw new recruit, Dean Fiore, driving car 12 for Jim Beam Racing in his first run in a DJR prepared car, step up into 3rd position.  

The team used the first session of the day to test several different car set ups, all of which were affected by the vastly different cool and warm, wet and dry conditions.

Leading internet security company, Norton by Symantec, has taken title sponsorship of the  # 18 Ford Falcon - one of four cars run to be out of the expanded Dick Johnson Racing operation this year.

Team Norton DJR was launched in Sydney today by the unusual method of having Moffat's new car assembled in front of a live audience in Parramatta's Church Street Mall.

Four V8 Supercar fans, assisted by Team Norton DJR mechanics, attached body panels to the chassis of Moffat's car to gradually reveal the stunning new yellow and black livery.

Have you ever wanted to be involved in a V8 Supercar team launch? Well here's your chance. On Monday February 6 you could help James Moffat unveil his #18 DJR Falcon for the 2012 V8 Supercars Championship season.

The second-year V8 Supercars Championship driver will reveal his striking new look on Monday February 6 in Church Street Mall, Parramatta, Sydney at 12.00pm.

The car will arrive at the launch without any panels or wheels and Moffat along with his mechanics and selected race fans, will build the entire #18 DJR Falcon to reveal his 2012 warpaint. The entire build will take less than half and hour and give race fans a unique opportunity to build a V8 Supercar.
