James Moffat's rookie season of V8 Supercar racing ended with disappointment, the #18 Dick Johnson Racing Falcon innocently taken out in the first lap of 2011's final race.
A day earlier James had stormed back from various troubles to finish a solid eighth on the streets of Homebush, the final venue of the 2011 V8 Supercar Championship season.

Inclement weather and tricky track conditions made for a mixed weekend for James Moffat at Sandown's V8 Supercar events on the weekend.
Pitched into a sandtrap mid-race in Saturday's atrociously wet conditions, James fared only marginally better on Sunday, several on-track incidents and dragging bodywork which forced him into pitlane, destroying any chance of a strong finish.
"We had a tough Saturday but in qualifying Sunday the car was strong, we looked like we were in good shape. In the race, though, the car was very ordinary, terrible understeer and some sort of balance issue, and we just went backwards.READ MORE

James Moffat had a steady, if frustrating run, on his V8 Supercar debut at Symmons Plains (Tasmania) on the weekend.
Unable to unlock the secret to car set-up on the short but very demanding track, the Moff could only make the best of the situation in a frantic mid-pack, bringing his DJR Falcon home for 20th and 18th places.
Young James was philosophical.
"Not the best of weekends for everyone in the team, we just never got on top of it. But I am optimistic we'll have a good car at Sandown this weekend, I think the car will work there and it's a track I know well."READ MORE
